Bimmer Race Car Challenge: BMW passion takes the Ardennes by storm at Spa Summer Classic

BMW fans, rejoice! The Ardennes will soon be buzzing with the sound of engines at the Spa Summer Classic, which will be held from 7 to 9 July at Spa Francorchamps. Amongst the series not to be missed, the Bimmer Race Car Challenge (BRCC) will make its debut this year, and promises to be a real spectacle for fans of the German brand.

But why 'Bimmer'? This nickname, commonly used to describe BMW cars, originated in the United States in the 1970s. It is derived from "Beemer" or "Beamer", nicknames for BMW motorbikes that originated in the UK and became popular worldwide. A BMW fan magazine and a Boston BMW club newsletter, both with the title "Bimmer", helped anchor the name in car culture.

The BRCC shares the same goals as the Colmore YTCC series, namely to offer a fun-filled series with great cars and exciting racing on a great track. A friendly atmosphere and mutual aid between participants are the key words of this competition, where drivers compete with respect for each other's equipment. Off the track, relaxation and friendship are the order of the day, echoing the slogan: "Smile, it makes you faster".

In short, if you are a fan of BMW and motor racing, don't miss the Bimmer Race Car Challenge (BRCC) at the Spa Summer Classic in Spa Francorchamps this July. This new series promises a unique mix of competition, conviviality and nostalgia, all in a light and pleasant atmosphere. So mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable weekend in the heart of the Ardennes!
