Spa Six Hours 2022 - Towards a victory π§πͺ at the Spa Six Hours Endurance?
With nearly 20 Ford GT40s at the start of the Spa Six Hours Endurance, the flagship event of the meeting organised by Roadbook from 29 September to 2 October, we can already bet on a 16th victory for the legendary car on Saturday 1 October at 10pm. And once again, the British will be outnumbered, determined to succeed two of their own, 'Olly' Bryant and James Cottingham, winners in 2021.
But what about this year?
This year, more than ever, the competition from the 'flat countries' will be real. In the Dutch ranks, David Hart, his son Olivier and Nicky Pastorelli form a simply explosive trio. And on the Belgian side, for the first time in a long time, there is a team in black-yellow-red that can clearly claim victory.
Covered by the well-known Brussels team Gipimotor, the #4 will be driven by a top team, composed of the 'boss' Christophe Van Riet, the unavoidable and eclectic Fred Bouvy, but also of the young Emile Breittmayer, who is part of this new generation that bets directly on historical competitions. Three drivers with a proven track record, and even if the competition is stronger than ever, with riders like Frank Stippler and Alex Brundle, the chances to hear the Brabant sound on the Ardennes are real.
